Key M&A Deals This Week Include Health Care, Energy and Software
Transactions involved Service Properties Trust, Option Care Health, PTC, Energy Transfer and other companies across several sectors.

Several acquisitions and proposed transactions involved health care, energy, software and real estate companies this week, including a $2 billion hospitality-portfolio deal and a proposed acquisition carrying a 14% premium.
TKO LLC proposed acquiring the entire hospitality portfolio of Service Properties Trust for $2 billion. Shares of Service Properties Trust surged following the takeover announcement.
In health care, CD&R and McKesson targeted Option Care Health. Viatris agreed to acquire Pacira BioSciences, while Engineer Electric moved to buy PTC. Shares of Option Care Health also surged after the acquisition report.
Energy Transfer agreed to acquire Vaquero Midstream. Cenovus Energy agreed to acquire Athabasca Oil at a 14% premium to Athabasca’s recent average price.
Other reported transactions included Emera’s planned merger with Canadian Utilities and the acquisition of CCC Intelligent Solutions. Shares of CCC Intelligent Solutions surged following the acquisition report.
The transactions span health care, energy, software, utilities and real estate, with deal terms ranging from a stated purchase price to a premium over a target’s recent average share price.
