Nvidia is weighing a deal involving Reflection AI, an open-weight artificial intelligence model developer valued at $25 billion, in a move that could deepen its investment in AI model infrastructure.

The discussions are in an early stage, and no final transaction structure has been set. Options under consideration include acquiring key talent while securing technology rights, increasing Nvidia’s stake, or providing Reflection AI with additional chips and computing capacity.

Reflection AI’s $25 billion valuation comes from its most recent funding round. Nvidia is already an investor in the company, giving the chipmaker an existing financial connection as negotiations continue.

The talks reflect the range of ways AI companies are combining model development, specialized hardware and access to computing resources. The next step is for the parties to determine whether to proceed and what form any agreement would take.
