Apple Offers Jobs to Some Huxe Employees, Licenses Its IP
Apple notified the European Commission after Huxe shut down its personalized audio service and deleted user data.

Apple has offered jobs to certain employees of Huxe AI and agreed to license the startup’s intellectual property after Huxe shut down its personalized audio service.
Apple notified the European Commission of the arrangement on June 9. The agreement covers employment offers for “certain employees of Huxe AI” and a non-exclusive license to Huxe’s intellectual property rights.
The filing does not identify the employees who received offers or say whether they accepted them. It also does not disclose Apple’s plans for the licensed technology.
Huxe announced May 21 that it was shutting down, removing its app from Apple and Google stores, halting service and deleting user data. “The team is moving on to new things, and we won’t be continuing development of the product,” the company said.
Huxe was founded by developers who previously worked on AI-generated podcast features in NotebookLM, recently renamed Gemini Notebook.
The European Commission filing does not provide further details about how Apple may use Huxe’s intellectual property.
