Aerodrome and Velodrome are preparing to combine into a single cross-chain decentralized exchange, with both tokens rising more than 16% as the planned Oct. 21 launch approaches.

AERO traded at $0.9422, up 17.29% over 24 hours, while VELO reached $0.04087 after gaining 16.74%. The merger plan would consolidate both tokens into one AERO asset as the two communities and trading platforms move to Aero.

The new exchange is scheduled to launch across Base, Ethereum, OP, Arc and Ink, while adding Robinhood Chain and Arbitrum. The planned deployment covers Base, Ethereum mainnet, OP, Arc, Ink, Robinhood Chain and Arbitrum.

Under the proposed distribution, AERO holders would receive about 94.5% of the allocation based on prior revenue, while VELO holders would receive 5.5%. The next concrete step is the planned Aero launch on Oct. 21.
