Kraken has secured a full Dubai license, clearing the way for the crypto exchange’s planned launch in the United Arab Emirates with local-currency funding and expanded trading services.

The rollout is expected to let users deposit and withdraw dirhams and trade through AED-denominated pairs. Kraken also plans to offer staking and xStocks, adding yield-generating services and tokenized-equity products to the regional platform.

Retail investors will be covered by Payward’s license as part of the launch. The licensing approval gives Kraken a regulated framework for serving customers in the UAE, though the materials do not provide a launch date.

The planned UAE offering would extend Kraken’s presence in the Middle East while giving local users access to services tailored to the region’s currency and regulatory market.
