XASH Tests Tokenized Gold Rewards to Expand Stablecoin Distribution
The Solana-based platform pays users in Paxos Gold (PAXG), while co-founder Kevin Huynh expects stablecoin issuers to eventually fund the program.

XASH is testing a Solana-based rewards platform that pays stablecoin users in tokenized gold, aiming to help stablecoin issuers expand into more decentralized-finance venues.
Users connect Phantom or Solflare wallets to access platforms including Kamino and Orca without depositing funds with XASH. Their monthly XP points determine each wallet’s pro rata share of a gold-reward pool.
The program pays rewards in Paxos Gold (PAXG) on Solana rather than in stablecoins, cash or a utility token. XASH currently funds the pool through a market-development fund backed by venture capital.
XASH co-founder and CEO Kevin Huynh expects stablecoin issuers to become the program’s eventual paying customers instead of users. XASH points to incentives for PayPal USD vaults on Kamino as an example of how issuers may spend to expand the use of their tokens.
The platform originally considered a gold-backed synthetic dollar but abandoned that plan because it would have required a costly hedging operation. XASH launched on Solana first and is moving from a closed beta toward a public beta.
Huynh said the model is designed to operate with or without the Clarity Act. Huynh also discussed whether gold incentives could attract liquidity where governance-token rewards had struggled.
Early users have expressed a preference for gold over cash, although the preference’s broader reach has not been established. The platform’s next stated step is its move from closed beta to public beta.
