DeFi Development Corp. increased its treasury to approximately 2,586,282 Solana (SOL) and SOL equivalents, extending its recent accumulation as the company expands its digital-asset holdings.

The Nasdaq-listed company added approximately 22,070 SOL and SOL equivalents during the week before Oct. 12. DeFi Development announced the latest total at 8 a.m. ET (12 p.m. UTC) on Oct. 12 and described the increase as roughly 12% growth since its Aug. 12 second-quarter earnings update.

The treasury stood at approximately 2,538,010 SOL and equivalents on Sept. 28 before rising to 2,564,212 on Oct. 5. The company valued the Sept. 28 holdings at $309 million.

“Short-term volatility has not changed our conviction or our commitment to accumulating SOL,” Joseph Onorati, CEO of DeFi Development, said.

The company’s treasury policy centers on SOL. Its validator operations generate staking rewards and fees, while the latest increase reflected a combination of purchases and organic accumulation. DeFi Development did not disclose the precise split among purchases, staking rewards and other organic gains.

DeFi Development also maintains a $300 million at-the-market offering program for CHAD, its Nasdaq-listed variable-rate perpetual preferred stock. The program provides up to $300 million in potential capacity for future SOL purchases; it is not money already raised.

CHAD carried a 13% annual dividend rate on its $10 stated amount, equal to $1.30 per share annually at that rate. Payments are made each business day when declared.

The latest update follows DeFi Development’s previous treasury increase to 2.564 million SOL and equivalents.
