DeepSeek Plans to Double Funding Round to 100 Billion Yuan
The AI company’s second funding round is expected to include roughly equal contributions from new and existing shareholders while maintaining a pre-money valuation of about 500 billion yuan.

DeepSeek plans to complete a funding round worth about 100 billion yuan, doubling its initial target in less than two weeks as the Chinese artificial intelligence company prepares its second capital raise.
The round was initially planned at 50 billion yuan. New and existing shareholders are expected to provide roughly equal portions of the investment.
Despite the larger financing target, DeepSeek’s pre-money valuation is expected to remain about 500 billion yuan. The planned investor group includes Shixi Capital, SMIC Poly Capital, CPE Yuanfeng, Junlian Capital and Geely, with industrial investors making up most of the new participants.
The larger round is expected to leave DeepSeek’s pre-money valuation at about 500 billion yuan.
