Blur Plans Nov. 12 Frontend Shutdown as BLUR Falls Nearly 30%
The website will close while Blur’s marketplace protocol remains active on Ethereum. Blend will stop matching new loans on the same date.

Blur will deprecate its blur.io frontend on Nov. 12, 2026, while keeping its underlying marketplace protocol operational on-chain, marking a major change for one of Ethereum’s NFT trading platforms.
The BLUR token fell as much as 29.1% in 24 hours to $0.01341. Separate daily market figures listed an Oct. 12 low of $0.01386 and a close of $0.01393, compared with an opening price of $0.01920.
The shutdown applies to Blur’s user-facing website, not the smart contracts that run its marketplace. The BLUR token will retain control of the protocol’s fee switch.
The same deadline applies to Blend, Blur’s lending product. Blend will stop matching new loans on Nov. 12. Borrowers must repay existing loans by then or allow them to default, with a withdrawal tool planned for later.
The announcement leaves Blur’s on-chain marketplace operating after the website is deprecated, while users face a fixed deadline for decisions on outstanding Blend loans.
