Blur to Retire Trading Website and End New Blend Loans Nov. 12
The Ethereum marketplace contracts will remain operational, but Blur’s main interface and new NFT loan matching will end on the same date.

Blur will retire its blur.io trading website on Nov. 12, removing the main interface for its NFT marketplace while leaving its Ethereum contracts operational.
The company will also stop matching new loans through Blend, its NFT lending service, on the same date. Borrowers can repay their loans before the deadline or allow them to default.
Blur plans to provide a frontend tool after Nov. 12 to help users withdraw assets from Blend. It has not provided the tool’s release time, URL or details on which positions it will support.
The change separates Blur’s public website from the smart contracts that run marketplace activity on Ethereum. Existing NFTs will remain on the blockchain, but users who relied on Blur’s interface may need another way to manage listings, bids, loans and withdrawals.
BLUR holders will retain control of the protocol’s fee switch. The scheduled website deprecation and end of new Blend loan matching mark a contraction in the services built around the marketplace protocol.
Blur’s website remained accessible after the announcement, so the shutdown is scheduled rather than immediate. The exact cutoff time on Nov. 12 has not been announced.
