Singapore’s cryptocurrency scam losses fell 43% year over year to about $51.1 million during the 2026 midyear period, highlighting a decline in reported losses alongside expanded prevention efforts.

Losses fell from about $89.6 million in the previous period. Coinbase characterized part of the decline as reflecting work by Singapore’s Anti-Scam Centre (ASC), Coinbase and other partners and service providers.

Coinbase’s Global Intelligence team and the ASC conducted four joint operations that helped identify more than 720 potential scam victims. The operations also helped prevent more than $14.7 million in potential losses.

Coinbase launched an anti-scam awareness campaign in Singapore during the second half of 2026. The campaign used email, push notifications and in-app alerts to reach Singapore retail-account users.

The 2026 midyear figures show the scale of reported crypto scam losses in Singapore, while the joint operations and awareness campaign add prevention measures aimed at reducing future losses.
