Michael Page Plc posted third-quarter gross profit of £190.5 million, up 1.5% from the same period in 2025, marking its first quarterly gross-profit growth since the fourth quarter of 2022.

The result reverses a period of year-over-year quarterly declines in gross profit that had continued through the second quarter of 2026. The company’s latest figure provides an updated view of performance in its staffing operations.

Fee-earner headcount declined by 63 from the second quarter, or 1.3%, to 4,851. The previous quarter’s fee-earner headcount was 4,914.

The headcount reduction occurred alongside the return to quarterly gross-profit growth. The figures show the change in fee-earner staffing during the quarter but do not indicate a broader change in total company staffing.

Michael Page Plc’s third-quarter gross profit of £190.5 million was 1.5% higher than in the same period of 2025, while the headcount comparison uses the second-quarter 2026 figure. The two comparisons cover different periods and metrics.

The company’s next results update will provide the next measure of whether the quarterly improvement continues.
