QuickLogic secured a six-figure contract for embedded field-programmable gate array (eFPGA) hard intellectual property for a system-on-chip using 16-nanometer automotive process technology.

The system-on-chip targets battery management, motor control and industrial robotics applications. The initial agreement is expected to generate license revenue over the next six months.

QuickLogic also expects royalty revenue after production shipments begin.
