Tether Invests in EFY Finance to Expand Institutional USD₮ Use
The seed investment will support stablecoin-based cross-border payments, account services and digital-asset custody across Latin America.

Tether has invested in Latin American financial infrastructure company EFY Finance in a seed round to expand institutional use of its USD₮ and USA₮ stablecoins.
The investment will support EFY Finance’s development of stablecoin-based cross-border payments, account services and digital-asset custody infrastructure. The effort is aimed at connecting stablecoins with traditional financial services for institutions operating across the region.
EFY Finance currently offers USD₮ and USA₮ deposits and withdrawals, over-the-counter trading, wallet services and payment cards. Its local settlement network covers more than 12 currencies across 17 countries, giving businesses and individuals access to stablecoin-related financial services in multiple markets.
The company has also obtained a digital-asset service-provider license in El Salvador and serves more than 25,000 individual and business accounts.
The investment is intended to connect stablecoin services with traditional financial infrastructure in Latin America.
