Gulf Labs began operating an institutional validator on Injective on Oct. 6, expanding the Thailand-based group’s involvement in the proof-of-stake network as the companies explore tokenization and stablecoin opportunities with Thai institutions.

Gulf Labs, the blockchain and digital-asset investment arm of Thailand’s GULF Group, now participates in transaction validation, network security and onchain governance on Injective. Validators help secure proof-of-stake blockchains, validate transactions and take part in governance decisions.

The collaboration also covers potential institutional products, market access, education, events, data centers and artificial-intelligence infrastructure. No financial terms, tokenized-product details, transaction values or launch timelines were disclosed.

“This collaboration reflects Gulf Labs' vision to build a strong foundation for Web3 infrastructure,” said Dr. Korn Poosiriwong, Head of AI Business at Gulf Edge and Director of Gulf Labs.

Gulf Labs is described as part of the Gulf Holding/GULF Group ecosystem and focuses on venture investment, research and development, and blockchain infrastructure. GULF Group has approximately $27 billion in market capitalization, more than 24 gigawatts of installed energy capacity and telecommunications operations serving more than 46 million mobile subscribers.

Gulf Edge’s data-center business began with 25 megawatts of capacity. The broader relationship could connect Injective’s blockchain infrastructure with Gulf Group’s energy, telecommunications and data-center operations, although specific projects have not been announced.

“Our validator gives Gulf Labs a direct role in the Injective network,” said Sireethorn Vorasuthika, Director of Gulf Labs.

Earlier institutional work in Asia included a trade-receivables tokenization pilot involving POSCO International and LG CNS in South Korea, as well as an institutional validator launched by Four Pillars.

“This collaboration begins with live network participation,” said Mirza Uddin, COO of Injective.

The Thai initiative remains in an exploration phase. The announcements do not establish that a tokenized asset, stablecoin or other institutional product has already launched.
