Dangote Refinery Extends ₦2.15 Trillion Share Offer to Oct. 27
The Nigerian refinery is offering 4.1 billion ordinary shares at ₦525 each, with allotment scheduled for Nov. 17, 2026.

Dangote Petroleum Refinery and Petrochemicals FZE extended its ₦2.1525 trillion public share offer to Oct. 27, 2026, giving investors more time to participate in the planned listing.
The offer covers 4.1 billion ordinary shares priced at ₦525 each. It opened Sept. 14, 2026, and the revised timetable sets Nov. 3 for collation of returns and Nov. 17 for allotment.
The shares are scheduled to list 15 business days after allotment. A $1 billion underwriting program supports the offering, consisting of a completed and funded $600 million private placement and a further $400 million underwriting commitment.
“We welcome the SEC’s approval of the extension, which will give more investors across Africa the opportunity to participate in the Offer,” David Bird, managing director and CEO of Dangote Petroleum Refinery and Petrochemicals FZE, said.
The extension allows additional time for investor distribution and onboarding, including account opening, identity checks and other requirements tied to the offering.
The refinery is located in Lagos, Nigeria, and has crude-distillation capacity of 700,000 barrels per day. Planned expansion would increase capacity to 1.4 million barrels per day.
“This is an important milestone for DPRP and for African capital markets,” Aliko Dangote, president of Dangote Industries, said.
The next scheduled step is the collation of returns on Nov. 3, 2026, followed by allotment on Nov. 17.
