Interactive Brokers has added Ether (ETH) staking for eligible brokerage clients, giving qualifying users access to staking through the firm’s Client Portal.

The service is supported by crypto infrastructure company Zerohash. Clients can stake or unstake ETH directly through the portal, with staking rewards automatically added to their staked holdings.

Interactive Brokers manages $964.7 billion in client assets. The firm already offers trading in Bitcoin (BTC), Ether, Litecoin and Bitcoin Cash.

Chief Executive Officer Milan Galik said staking gives clients an opportunity to earn rewards on crypto assets they hold.

The launch expands crypto-related services within a traditional brokerage account, while access is initially limited to eligible clients.
