AEON announced local bank transfer payments in Chile, expanding its local settlement network in Latin America and allowing users to pay merchants with crypto through the country’s banking system.

Users can enter a payment amount in Chilean pesos (CLP) and pay with crypto assets. AEON handles the asset conversion and settles with merchants through local banks.

The service is also live in Brazil, Mexico, Argentina, Peru, Bolivia and Colombia. The expansion could let AI agents use familiar banking systems to make real-world purchases.
