SBI Holdings and Yoshimoto Kogyo HD plan to form a joint venture to develop Japanese entertainment intellectual property and promote it overseas, while exploring digital securities to finance films and other content.

The proposed venture would pair Yoshimoto Kogyo HD’s entertainment business with SBI Group’s security token infrastructure and on-chain finance expertise. Its financing plans cover film, entertainment and digital content, but no specific issuance or project has been detailed.

The companies also plan to work together on SBI Group’s SBI Neo Content Fund, which is about ¥100 billion in scale (roughly $650 million). Yoshimoto Kogyo HD is expected to contribute to the fund.

The plans also include cross-border rights distribution and development of regional tourism-related intellectual property. The joint venture remains proposed under the basic agreement.
