Anthropic Tells Investors Q3 Revenue Reached $16.8 Billion
Q3 revenue was more than three and a half times Anthropic’s full-year 2025 total, while the company has at least $518 billion in decade-long infrastructure obligations.

Anthropic told prospective investors in San Francisco on Oct. 14 that Q3 2026 revenue reached $16.8 billion and that it was profitable on an adjusted basis, a fresh financial snapshot ahead of a potential IPO.
Q3 revenue alone was more than three and a half times the nearly $4.6 billion Anthropic generated in all of 2025. The comparison puts one quarter of revenue against a full year of sales.
Anthropic’s operating loss in 2025 exceeded $8 billion, excluding writedowns of liabilities mostly tied to earlier fundraising. That annual operating loss and the Q3 adjusted-profitability claim cover different periods and use different measures.
The company has at least $518 billion in long-term cloud, computing and infrastructure obligations over a decade. The commitments span multiple years rather than a single-year outlay.
Anthropic submitted a confidential draft Form S-1 to the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission on June 1 for a proposed IPO. The share count and offering price had not been set, and the proposed offering depended on market conditions and other factors.
