Swedish startup 120ft Factory AB has raised €576,000 from 22 angel investors as it develops microfactories for low-volume, high-mix manufacturing with humanoid robots.

Each proposed production site would occupy three 40-foot shipping containers. In 120ft’s service model, brands would keep their existing component suppliers and pay for each completed product. Robots assigned across multiple customers would handle final assembly, product inspection and packing.

120ft is focused on containerized production cells for smaller manufacturing runs involving varied products. The company was founded in 2025.

Founder and CEO Martin Willers said smaller brands can tie up cash and make demand decisions too early. “For a smaller brand, that means tying up cash and making decisions about demand far too early,” Willers said.

The company has demonstrated robot assembly on a lamp. It says training a robot to complete an assembly task took seven weeks in 2025 and now takes seven hours. 120ft’s target is to bring that time down to seven minutes by 2027.

Separately, a 120ft-coordinated project on AI-driven microfactories received a SEK 140,000 grant and ran from January through April 2026. The project was completed and included a letter of intent with an unnamed robot manufacturer.
