Japan’s Economy Minister Minoru Kiuchi said the country has moved beyond deflation and urged global investors to reassess its economy as Prime Minister Sanae Takaichi’s government prioritizes growth and strategic investment.

On Oct. 1, Takaichi said investment to strengthen Japan’s productive capacity could support confidence in the yen, a theme in her growth-spending approach.
