SAP Taulia Promotes Schafer to CTO as It Expands AI Focus
Kirsten Loegering became chief product officer Sept. 28 and will lead product strategy as the company develops AI and automation for working capital management.

SAP Taulia is aligning its product and technology leadership with a push to use AI and automation in working capital management, while expanding infrastructure to bring its capabilities into customer environments.
Kirsten Loegering took over as chief product officer Sept. 28 and will lead product strategy. Andrew Schafer was promoted to chief technology officer, with a focus on scaling the technology infrastructure that supports Taulia’s intelligence and execution capabilities in the systems customers use.
SAP Taulia CEO Cedric Bru linked the appointments to SAP’s Autonomous Finance vision. The vision brings enterprise data and processes together so working capital can serve as a real-time strategic driver. Bru credited Schafer with helping change Taulia’s technology foundation during the prior year.
Loegering has previously built and expanded enterprise product teams. She described the appointment as coming at a pivotal point for the business, citing the intersection of finance, supply chains and AI-driven innovation. She said businesses are placing more emphasis on working capital management and that she plans to help the team innovate and improve customer offerings.
Schafer has described AI as changing what is possible in working capital management. His technology agenda centers on expanding the infrastructure so Taulia’s intelligence and execution capabilities can be embedded in customer environments.
“I’m looking forward to partnering closely with Kirsten and the broader leadership team as we build the next generation of SAP Taulia’s solutions,” Schafer said.
