FreeCast has added Cajun Broadband as a distribution partner, giving the Louisiana internet provider a way to offer its media marketplace across its service areas, including rural communities.

The offering centers on SmartGuide, which organizes eligible streaming choices across services and devices. Users may be directed to the original content provider to watch selected programming, so viewing can take place through that provider’s service.

FreeCast’s partner model lets broadband providers offer customers a branded media experience using its software and operating platform. The arrangement brings a media marketplace to a provider’s customer base, while the viewing options remain tied to their original content providers.

Advertising, subscriptions and digital transactions are potential revenue streams associated with the partnership. No customer activations or revenue from the Cajun deal were disclosed. The announcement also provided no launch date, customer target, contract value, revenue share or revenue forecast.

“FreeCast gives them an opportunity to participate in the media economy that exists beyond that connection,” said FreeCast founder and Chief Executive Officer William (Bill) Mobley.

The partnership adds a distribution channel, but the available figures do not show how many Cajun customers will use the marketplace or what revenue it may generate. For the fiscal year ended June 30, 2026, FreeCast recorded $710,882 in revenue and a $13,044,799 net loss.

As of June 30, 2026, FreeCast had 1,194,219 cumulative registered accounts: 1,179,944 ad-supported and 14,275 paid. The total includes accounts that may be inactive, so it is not a count of active users. The figures provide company-wide context but do not indicate how many Cajun customers may adopt the service.
