Nvidia CEO Cites $100 Billion in Contracted AI Compute Offtake
Huang gave no time frame or customer breakdown. A separate Nvidia financing effort targets more than $500 billion in third-party capital.

Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang cited $100 billion in contracted AI-computing offtake while defending the company’s role in financing AI infrastructure. He described the figure as total contract value, rather than the cost of building a single AI factory.
At the Goldman Sachs Communacopia + Technology Conference on Sept. 10, Huang addressed whether Nvidia’s financing support for AI labs and “neoclouds” could make demand for its systems circular. The session was scheduled for 11:50 a.m. ET (15:50 UTC). Huang said Nvidia provides only a small portion of some customers’ financing and can see their pipeline for computing demand.
“That offtake is $100 billion. It’s total contracted value,” Huang said. He also called it lined-up contracts and described it as “real stuff.” Huang gave no time frame or customer breakdown, and framed the $100 billion as contracted customer offtake rather than the budget for one AI factory.
The remarks came a month after Nvidia announced memorandums of understanding on Aug. 10 with Apollo, BlackRock, Blackstone, Brookfield, Goldman Sachs and KKR. The six MOUs cover financing platforms intended to channel outside investment into AI infrastructure, with a target above $500 billion over time. That target refers to capital the platforms seek to bring into projects; it is separate from the $100 billion offtake figure Huang discussed. Final agreements remained pending.
The $500 billion figure is not funding already confirmed for projects. Nvidia described the platforms as seeking to mobilize capital over time, with final agreements still to come. The two figures measure different things: contracted customer demand and a capital-mobilization target.
Nvidia’s revenue for the fiscal second quarter of 2027, which ended July 26, 2026, totaled $96.221 billion. Data Center revenue reached $89 billion, up 117% from a year earlier. Those quarterly sales figures are distinct from the $100 billion in contracted offtake Huang cited.
At Nvidia’s March GTC event, Huang cited at least $1 trillion in company revenue from 2025 through 2027. That figure was a revenue measure, not an order-book total. The figures span different measures: quarterly revenue, multiyear revenue and contracted offtake.
