Equinor Ends Plan for Second Electric Export Compressor at Troll C
The decision scales back the field’s electrification project and is intended to prevent lower production in 2027 and 2028.

Equinor has abandoned plans for a second electric export compressor at Troll C, a move intended to prevent production from falling at Europe’s largest natural gas field in 2027 and 2028.
The compressor was planned for the Troll C platform in the North Sea. Dropping the equipment scales back the Troll field’s electrification project.
