Iambic Therapeutics shares closed 18.19% above their $16 IPO price in the company’s first Nasdaq session Thursday, Oct. 15, giving the AI-focused drug developer an implied market value of about $896 million.

The shares were at $18.50 at 12:21 p.m. ET (16:21 UTC), up 15.625% from the IPO price. They finished at $18.91 at 4 p.m. ET (20:00 UTC), a gain of $2.91 per share for the session.

Iambic priced 9,375,000 shares at $16 on Wednesday, Oct. 14, for $150 million in expected gross proceeds before underwriting discounts, commissions and other offering expenses. The stock began trading under ticker IAM the following day. The IPO pricing implied a market value of about $758 million at the offer price.

Using Iambic’s estimated 47,400,796 shares outstanding after the offering, the $18.91 close implies a market value of about $896 million. That is roughly $138 million above the implied value at the IPO price. The calculation uses the estimated post-offering share count and closing share price.

Iambic estimated net proceeds of $135 million from the base offering. If underwriters exercised their option in full for 1,406,250 additional shares, estimated net proceeds would rise to about $155.9 million. The net estimate is lower than gross proceeds because it accounts for offering expenses. Iambic expected the offering to close Friday, Oct. 16, subject to customary conditions.

Iambic combines its Enchant and NeuralPLexer AI models with automated chemistry and biology work. Its lead candidate, IAM1363, is in a Phase 1/1b trial targeting HER2-altered solid tumors. A registrational study for IAM1363 could start as early as 2027, depending on regulatory feedback.

Iambic submitted an investigational new drug application for IAM217 on Sept. 30. A planned Phase 1/2 trial depends on regulatory clearance, while IAM-C1 remains in preclinical development with an investigational new drug filing anticipated in the fourth quarter of 2026. The fundraising is intended to advance the company’s three early-stage cancer drug candidates.

For the 12 months ended June 30, 2026, Iambic recorded $18.25 million in collaboration revenue and a $94.25 million net loss. The company has no approved drug products and has not generated revenue from drug sales.
