Daily Journal Completes Revir Acquisition, Adding Scout AI Tool
The deal closed Oct. 13 and was funded with cash on hand; financial terms were not disclosed.

Daily Journal Corporation (Nasdaq: DJCO) completed its acquisition of Revir Technologies, Inc., adding an AI tool for justice and public safety agencies as it expands its government technology business.
Daily Journal announced the deal Thursday, Oct. 15, after it closed Oct. 13. The company used cash on hand and did not disclose the financial terms. It does not expect the acquisition to materially affect its financial condition or operating results.
Revir’s Scout tool indexes files from hundreds of sources and uses artificial intelligence to help analyze digital evidence. It runs within each customer’s secure Amazon Web Services (AWS) environment.
Revir will operate independently in Daily Journal’s new Courts, Justice, and Government Technology division, alongside Journal Technologies, Inc. Revir founder and CEO Marc Messina and his team will continue to lead Scout. Existing customer contracts, partner integrations and support will remain in place.
“With the backing of Daily Journal Corporation, we’ll have greater resources to pursue our vision,” Messina said.
