General Atlantic is targeting a public listing in the first half of 2027 that could value the investment manager at up to $10 billion. The planned offering is intended to provide capital for expansion.

The $10 billion figure describes a possible valuation of General Atlantic itself, not the amount it would raise in an offering. Valuation and proceeds are separate measures: the first estimates the company’s worth, while the second reflects money raised through the share sale.

General Atlantic had approximately $130 billion in assets under management as of June 30, 2026. Assets under management measure capital overseen across the firm’s strategies, rather than the value of the manager itself. Its platform covers Growth Equity, Infrastructure and Strategic Solutions.

The firm also has more than 900 professionals in 20 countries across five regions. Its portfolio includes digital-asset companies Fireblocks and Talos. The proposed listing concerns General Atlantic, not either portfolio company.

General Atlantic’s listing preparations go back several years. The firm confidentially filed for a listing in December 2023, then delayed the effort amid market volatility.

The timeline has since moved. An earlier schedule left open a possible offering in 2026; the current target is the first half of 2027.
