UMX launched its combined trading account Oct. 16, bringing U.S. and Hong Kong securities, U.S. stock options and crypto assets into one platform aimed at professional investors.

The securities offering includes Hong Kong and U.S. stocks and exchange-traded funds, as well as options tied to U.S. stocks. The platform also supports crypto asset trading. Users can move funds among securities, crypto and fiat balances within the account, which supports cross-asset margin.

Incubated by Avenir Group, UMX targets professional investors worldwide. The company frames its unified account as a way to address separate account structures for securities and digital assets, complex cross-market allocation and fragmented buying power.

UMX began its public beta Aug. 10. During the beta, it received 788 pieces of product feedback and incorporated 89 user requests into the full release.
