Charles Schwab has begun offering crypto deposits and withdrawals to eligible retail customers in phases and plans to add trading for Solana (SOL), Avalanche (AVAX) and Chainlink (LINK) by year-end, broadening its crypto services.

Chief Executive Rick Wurster outlined the expansion at an Oct. 15 business update. Schwab Crypto currently supports spot trading in Bitcoin (BTC) and Ether (ETH), while the transfer feature is being rolled out gradually to customers who qualify.

Customers with access can move crypto into or out of their Schwab Crypto accounts. The phased rollout means the transfer option is not yet open to every retail customer. Wurster also described crypto trading and prediction markets as future sources of trading-related revenue for Schwab.

The planned token additions would expand the service’s trading lineup, while deposits and withdrawals give eligible customers a way to move crypto into or out of Schwab Crypto.
