Accenture is limiting central funding for employees using Claude Enterprise to $29 per user a month, with charges above that amount assigned to a project or team under a policy effective Oct. 1.

All charges are usage-based. Employees must assign any amount above the central monthly funding to a specific project or team. Accenture refers to those project or team assignments as work breakdown structures, or WBS.

Claude access will continue to depend on job and business needs. Accenture plans to review license assignments periodically based on business priorities, roles, usage patterns and staffing needs, and may reassign licenses as those needs change. A project or team assignment for excess charges does not guarantee continued access.

One employee whose monthly Claude usage exceeded $500 asked how to speed up an upgrade to Premium. The employee said the upgrade option on a support page appeared blocked and warned that the charges could affect project costs.

Separately, another employee said monthly usage typically cost $500 to $1,000 while they used Claude Code to develop and test an AI accelerator for several Accenture clients.

Claude Premium includes token usage valued at $250 per week. Many employees are not enrolled in the plan, and employees on the general plan with high usage must find a project or team to cover charges above the central amount. A separate employee message indicated that Claude access had been withdrawn.

Accenture announced the Accenture Anthropic Business Group with Anthropic on Dec. 9, 2025. Accenture's announcement outlined plans to train about 30,000 employees on Claude and have tens of thousands of developers use Claude Code.

Anthropic CEO Dario Amodei described the planned Claude Code rollout as the largest deployment in Anthropic's history.
