An Oct. 16 estimate places digital-asset treasury companies’ Bitcoin (BTC) holdings at 1.073 million BTC or more, with Strategy making up the largest share. Its figure in the tally is 250 BTC above the company’s latest disclosed balance.

The estimate lists Strategy at 848,500 BTC. Its balance stood at 848,250 BTC as of Oct. 11, after a 250 BTC purchase during Oct. 5-11. The estimate gives no clock time for its cutoff, while Strategy’s balance is dated five days earlier.

Metaplanet, Twenty One Capital and Strive together account for about 120,000 BTC in the estimate. Their disclosed balances cover separate dates: Metaplanet held 44,000 BTC as of Sept. 30, Twenty One held 43,514 BTC as of June 30, and Strive held 32,773 BTC as of Oct. 9.

Strive later disclosed a purchase of 2,822 BTC from Oct. 12 to Oct. 13 at an average price of about $83,266 per BTC, including fees and expenses. It did not give a new total balance after the purchase.

Twenty One had about 16,116 BTC pledged as collateral. While pledged, those coins were unavailable for general corporate or liquidity needs.

The company balances span June 30 to Oct. 11, and Strive’s later purchase came after its Oct. 9 balance date. They therefore do not form a same-day accounting of the firms’ Bitcoin holdings.
