Cobo plans to unveil a brand refresh and upgraded institutional wallet at the Singapore FinTech Festival in mid-November, with payment features aimed at businesses and agents.

The company plans to showcase its latest institutional wallet capabilities, including an upgraded product for corporate and agent payment use cases. Cobo says the changes extend its wallet and custody services into more payment scenarios for institutions, businesses and agents managing digital assets.

Founded in 2017, Cobo first became known for consumer wallet products before shifting its business toward institutional and corporate clients. The company says it now serves more than 680 institutional customers across about 50 countries and regions.

Cobo said its consumer Cobo Wallet App stopped accepting new registrations in 2021, while existing users continued to have access and time to withdraw funds. The company described the app’s planned shutdown as the formal end of its consumer wallet business. Cobo’s product and brand showcase is planned for the festival in mid-November.
