Valor Energy Inc. has reached a $3.6 million agreement to acquire the owner of a Youngstown, Ohio, computing facility it plans to convert for artificial intelligence and high-performance computing.

The Oct. 19 deal covers all equity in the company that owns the 30,888-square-foot property. The price is subject to adjustment, and the purchase still requires due diligence and other approvals.

The site has an existing connection to Ohio Edison and a stated capacity of about 18 megavolt-amperes (MVA). MVA measures apparent power; the rating alone does not establish how much electricity computing equipment could use.

Valor’s planned conversion will require additional construction, equipment and permits. Formerly known as Senmiao Technology Limited, Valor had been evaluating AI data center projects after operating automobile-related businesses.

Valor has 30 business days to conduct due diligence. It is targeting a closing within 90 business days of the agreement’s effective date, provided the conditions are met.
