Houthi missile and drone attacks on Saudi Arabia have complicated travel ahead of the Future Investment Initiative Institute's Riyadh conference, an annual gathering of international investors and business leaders.

The 10th Future Investment Initiative (FII) conference was scheduled for Oct. 26-29 in Riyadh.

An Oct. 10 attack on King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh killed at least 12 people and injured more than 300. Houthi missile and drone attacks have struck Saudi Arabia in recent weeks, complicating travel to the capital ahead of the conference.

FII is an annual forum that brings international investors and business leaders to Saudi Arabia. It began in 2017, and this year’s gathering was to mark its 10th edition under the theme “The Power of Legacy.”

The institute had not announced a change to the conference’s format or schedule as of Oct. 19.
