Central Garden & Pet Company agreed to acquire W. Atlee Burpee Company, a 150-year-old brand in packet seeds and young plants, in a deal that would expand Central’s garden portfolio.
Central announced the agreement Oct. 19. Burpee is a national brand in the packet seed and young plant business.
