Telesat's Cash Resources Alone Fall Short of December GEO Debt Maturities
Telesat GEO Inc. had $1.32 billion outstanding on a term loan and $387 million in secured notes as of June 30, 2026. Both mature in December.

Telesat GEO Inc., a subsidiary of Canadian satellite operator Telesat, faces two debt maturities in December 2026 that its consolidated cash resources alone are not expected to cover.
Telesat GEO Inc. had $1.32 billion outstanding on a term loan and $387 million in secured notes as of June 30, 2026. Both obligations mature in December 2026.
Telesat expects its consolidated cash flows and cash resources to cover ordinary operations and debt servicing before maturity. Those resources alone are not expected to meet the GEO debt maturities.
Telesat Lightspeed, the company’s low Earth orbit satellite project, has separate financing outside the entities that guarantee the GEO debt. Lightspeed assets held by entities outside the GEO debt guarantor group are excluded from the collateral for the GEO secured notes.
The term loan and secured notes both reach maturity in December 2026.
