Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) shares closed 1.3% higher Monday at $55.84 as the company announced a Wi-Fi 7 project with the Miami HEAT to improve connectivity at Kaseya Center.

The stock remained below its $58.63 close on Oct. 15, when shares fell 7.1% after a Barclays downgrade.

The arena project calls for HPE Aruba wireless access points indoors and outdoors, with campus gateways to manage network traffic. HPE Juniper switches will provide the wired capacity needed to support the new equipment.

The work initially focused on coverage in crowded seating areas, including the lower bowl. A review of the arena’s network expanded the project to include switching and power delivery for the access points.

HPE plans to monitor the network during five live events and use the results to adjust its performance under crowd conditions. AT&T will provide communications services, while CSPi Technology Solutions will help install the network and provide ongoing IT services.

The wireless work is scheduled to finish before the 2026-27 NBA season. Switch upgrades will continue in phases.
