Town's paying customer count has quadrupled and its number of paying teams has increased ninefold since July, adding growth figures to its $108 million Series B and expansion of workplace AI assistants.

The round, announced Oct. 19, values Town at $1 billion. Forerunner Ventures and Menlo Ventures co-led the financing, with Andreessen Horowitz and First Round Capital also participating.

The assistants, called Townies, connect to email, calendars, documents and other work systems. New features let them exchange questions, hand off tasks and use shared workflows that distribute business information without requiring each worker to update an assistant individually.

“Townies can ask each other questions and hand off work,” Town co-founder and CEO Jean-Denis Greze said.

Town announced a $55 million Series A alongside the assistant's public launch in June. Its annual recurring revenue reached seven figures within weeks of that launch.
