Palawan Group of Companies has reached a further agreement to support Philippine government aid payouts through its PalawanPay wallet and in-person collection channels, continuing an existing hybrid distribution effort.

The agreement covers Palawan’s role as an accredited nonbank provider in the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Hybrid Digital Payout System. DSWD piloted Palawan-supported payouts in 2025 and carried out another rollout in 2026.

Recipients can receive assistance electronically or collect it over the counter. Those who qualify may include people in low-income households, senior citizens and informal workers. Palawan operates more than 3,800 branches nationwide, while PalawanPay has 23 million registered accounts.

DSWD manages beneficiary eligibility and the assistance programs. The Land Bank of the Philippines (LandBank) provides government banking and disbursement infrastructure, and Palawan supplies payout channels. The agreement was signed at a LandBank branch in Tanauan, Batangas.

“We can help bring assistance closer to communities,” said Palawan for Business head Missy Baldemor, speaking on behalf of Chief Business Development Officer Lisa Castro-Sabado.
