Binance Will Raise Collateral Ratios for Seven Tokens on Oct. 23
The changes affect cross-margin borrowing and transfers out, plus collateral calculations in portfolio-margin accounts. Binance expects the update to take about 30 minutes.

Binance will lift the collateral ratios assigned to seven crypto assets, changing how much users can borrow or transfer from cross-margin accounts and how holdings count in portfolio margin.
Polygon Ecosystem Token (POL), Shiba Inu (SHIB) and Stellar (XLM) will move from 50% to 60%. CoW Protocol (COW), Nexo (NEXO), Ravencoin (RVN) and The Sandbox (SAND) will move from 10% to 30%.
On cross-margin accounts, the ratio affects how much a user can borrow or transfer out against an asset. In portfolio margin, ratios and leverage factor into Binance’s Unified Maintenance Margin Ratio (uniMMR), a measure tied to liquidation risk.
Binance will also revise Portfolio Margin Pro collateral tiers for COW, NEXO, RVN and SAND. The 100% tier will cover holdings up to $100,000, compared with $50,000 under the current schedule. The 10% tier will begin at $500,000, up from $400,000.
The update is scheduled for 2 a.m. ET (06:00 UTC) on Oct. 23 and is expected to take about 30 minutes.
