Revolut said Oct. 20 that customers’ money and data remained safe during a service disruption affecting payments, withdrawals and app access as the company worked to restore service. The system-status page marked services as “partially unavailable” and listed sign-up, sign-in, card payments, transfers, ATM withdrawals and cryptocurrency functions.

Revolut said it identified the issue that morning and had been working on a fix. It also apologized to customers affected by the disruption. Some customers saw errors when opening the app or checking accounts; others received a “something went wrong” message directing them to try again later. Those access problems left some customers unable to reach their funds through the app.

Cryptocurrency services appeared on the same affected-services list as everyday payment and withdrawal functions. The update showed the incident spanned routine banking and cryptocurrency functions within the same app for customers.
