Valmont Industries, Inc. raised its 2026 adjusted earnings forecast Tuesday after third-quarter sales and operating margin increased, giving investors a higher earnings target while leaving its full-year sales outlook intact.

The infrastructure and agriculture supplier now expects adjusted diluted earnings of $22.75 to $23.75 per share for 2026, up from its previous range of $22.25 to $23.50. The revision raises the low end by $0.50 and the high end by $0.25 per share.

Valmont maintained its 2026 sales forecast of $4.3 billion to $4.45 billion. It also reaffirmed its goal of reaching $35 in earnings per share by the end of 2029.

Third-quarter net sales rose 5.5% from a year earlier to $1.10 billion. Diluted earnings increased to $6.24 per share from $4.98, while operating margin widened to 15.7% from 13.5%. The margin gain was 2.2 percentage points.

Infrastructure generated $882.1 million in quarterly sales, an increase of 9.1% from a year earlier. Higher North American utility and coatings sales drove the segment’s growth. Agriculture sales fell 6.4% to $226 million as declines outside North America outweighed growth within the region.

The segment results show how Valmont’s overall sales grew despite the decline in agriculture. Infrastructure accounted for most of the company’s quarterly revenue and supplied the growth behind the higher total.

Valmont set its longer-term goals in June, pairing the $35-per-share earnings target with goals of $5.4 billion in organic net sales and a 17% operating margin by the end of 2029. Those targets remain in place alongside the revised 2026 earnings outlook.

The company is expanding utility production capacity and taking pricing steps to recover higher steel and zinc costs.
