Braze Shares Jump 51.7% After Salesforce Agrees to $5.66 Billion Deal
The $47.50-per-share cash offer is about 58.1% above Braze’s Oct. 19 close. The companies expect to complete the deal in Salesforce’s fiscal 2028.

Braze shares jumped 51.7% Tuesday after Salesforce agreed to acquire the customer engagement software company for cash in a transaction valued at about $5.66 billion in enterprise value.
Braze closed at $45.57 on Oct. 20, compared with $30.04 a day earlier. Under the merger agreement, holders of Braze Class A shares would receive $47.50 per share in cash, about 58.1% above the Oct. 19 closing price.
The companies signed the agreement Oct. 19, and Braze’s board approved it unanimously. Salesforce announced the deal Tuesday and does not expect it to change its fiscal 2027 guidance.
Braze provides tools that help marketers tailor communications across mobile apps, websites, email and messaging channels. It serves approximately 2,770 customers, including Canva, Instacart and Venmo. The acquisition would bring Braze’s real-time personalization and AI tools into Salesforce’s Marketing Cloud products.
The transaction still requires a vote by Braze shareholders and regulatory approvals. The companies expect it to close in Salesforce’s fiscal 2028.
