Accenture acquired Miami-based construction technology consultancy Avicado on Oct. 20, adding more than 190 specialists to its U.S. construction business and expanding its work with owners of data centers and large infrastructure projects.

The Avicado professionals will join Accenture Construct, which provides advisory, engineering, program management and construction management services. Avicado adds expertise in the software and project controls that owners use to manage major construction programs.

Its consultants implement and connect platforms from Procore, Autodesk, Trimble, Oracle and Kahua. Their work also covers site selection, procurement, scheduling and document management for projects including data centers and transportation infrastructure.

Accenture Construct CEO Adam J. Shaw said Avicado brings “deep expertise in the digital platforms that underpin many capital programs.”

Accenture did not disclose the acquisition price. At 4 p.m. ET (20:00 UTC), its shares closed Oct. 20 at $239.12, up $2.19, or 0.92%, from the prior close.
