Pineapple Financial plans to put records for more than 29,000 funded mortgages, tied to more than $10 billion in loans, on the Injective network, a target that does not quantify demand for the Injective (INJ) token.

The plan’s dollar figure refers to the value of the associated loans. On Sept. 4, records on the network represented existing mortgage loans valued at more than $1 billion.

Injective’s monthly Community BuyBack distributes ecosystem revenue to participants and permanently burns the INJ they commit. The mortgage plan does not establish that the records will generate revenue for the buyback or create additional demand for INJ.

The target describes the planned scale of the mortgage records, while the records already moved reflect activity on the network. Neither figure specifies how much revenue the mortgage activity will generate or how much INJ the buyback will remove.
