Binance will begin settling margin debts of less than $1 in inactive cross margin accounts on Oct. 26, using assets already held in those accounts as part of a daily process.

An account qualifies when its outstanding liabilities across all assets total less than $1 and it has had no fund activity for six months. Accounts owing $1 or more are unaffected.

Fund activity includes transfers into or out of a margin account, borrowing, repayments and the trading page’s tools for closing positions and repaying debt. An open order placed more than six months ago does not count as activity.

Binance will deduct the amount owed from assets available in each eligible account. If the account holds multiple available assets, Binance will choose which asset to use. Borrowing and trading will remain available after the debt is settled.

The change takes effect at 8 p.m. ET on Oct. 26 (00:00 UTC Oct. 27), with eligible accounts processed daily in batches.
