SpaceX Posts $4.4 Billion Q3 Profit, Still Has $413 Million Nine-Month Loss
Revenue rose 161% to about $14.58 billion as independent committees at SpaceX and Tesla examined a possible merger.

SpaceX posted $4.404 billion in third-quarter net income but still recorded a $413 million loss for the first nine months of 2026, as independent directors examined a possible merger with Tesla.
Third-quarter revenue rose 161% from a year earlier to about $14.58 billion. The quarterly profit reversed a loss of about $1.1 billion in the comparable period of 2025.
The results also included $1.025 billion in other income and a $390 million income tax benefit, both of which contributed to net income.
The Super Intelligence business drove new revenue and accounted for about 84% of third-quarter capital spending. Connectivity, which includes Starlink, recorded a 45.1% operating margin.
SpaceX CEO Elon Musk said independent committees at SpaceX and Tesla are examining a potential merger. Musk, who leads both companies, is not participating in the committees’ discussions because of his interests in both companies. No transaction terms have been agreed.
