DekaBank announced a phased crypto-trading rollout for participating German savings banks on Monday, Oct. 19, making Bitcoin and four other digital assets available through a retail banking network.

The initial lineup includes Bitcoin (BTC), Ether (ETH), Solana (SOL), XRP and Polygon (POL). The service is for adult customers who make their own investment decisions. Each savings bank can independently decide whether to offer it.

Each buy or sell order costs €0.99. There is no minimum, and individual orders are capped at €250,000. A spread is also included in the quoted price, so the per-order fee is not the only pricing component.

Customers cannot transfer assets directly to other wallet addresses. Outbound transfers are limited to addresses at specified crypto service providers.

Five savings banks were listed as participants as of Wednesday, Oct. 21. The phased rollout means availability depends on whether an individual savings bank joins.
